Evaporation Experiment

This afternoon we dipped our hands into water and put our wet handprint onto paper....then we waited to see what would happen. It was so exciting!!! Our wet handprints disappeared!!! We talked a lot about why this was, and where the water had gone. Joel said that, "The water cycle is happening to my paper." And Flyn said, "When it dries it goes all the way up to the sky." Bethany said that evaporation (such a big word!) is "invisible water that goes up because of the sun." Gosh you are all so smart! Fabulous thinking!

    Wow Room 4! You really are learning so much about the sun and how it dries up the water. The water cycle is amazing isn't it?
