This morning it was pouring with rain so we decided to go outside and have a play in it! We talked about what rain smelt, felt, tasted, sounded and looked like. When we came inside we wrote a poem to describe what we found out. If you read it to us, you might find out who thought what! We think we did some good thinking.
I Like the Rain by Room 4 children
Rain smells like rain.
Rain feels like Bono licking me on the nose, wet spit, and soft drips in my mouth.
Rain tastes like water.
Rain sounds like little mice creeping down the drainpipes, pitter patter spits, plitting drip drop.
Rain looks like little see-through circles, invisible dots, water out of a water pistol.
Hi Room 4
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great senses poem about rain.
You're all so clever.
Love Mrs Russell
I love the line about rain sounds like little mice creeping down the drainpipes. That is a fantastic simile and paints a picture in my mind!
